How to Make a Dare Simulator Game
Ever thought so hard of a dare question, but just can't think of any? Or how about you just don't want to think? Well, no worries! Read this article and take a few minutes to create the paper-made masterpiece that does the thinking for you!
- Note: Writings on the paper vary as to who you are daring.
- Please note that this is not orgami, it's just folding some paper in simple ways.
Get two sheets of regular 8.5 by 11 inches (22 cm × 28 cm) paper. This simulator is paper-based only and does not include pencils to play, but there will be some writing involved.
Hold the paper from edge to edge length-wise and tape the edge that is touching the other paper. The side that is being taped should be the 8.5 side.
Fold the paper lengthwise--do a hamburger fold. The result should be both papers folded in a way so there seems to be one paper, but it is actually both papers, just back to back.
Fold the paper lengthwise again. You should come up with what seems to be half of a paper.
Fold the paper lengthwise again. You should come up with a mini one-fourth of a paper, and one-eighth of two papers.
Fold the paper width-wise (Hot-Dog Fold). You should come up with a folded piece of paper that is slightly smaller than a memo book.
Fold the paper lengthwise. You should come up with a small rectangle that should fit in a teen's palm.
Begin the writing process. On one side, write the word "Start" neatly, which indicates the start of the game. You can also write the words "Dare Simulator" as well.
Unfold the paper once and draw a line where the crease is.Write the words "Choose a Gender" at the top and write "Male" below that. Under the line, write "Female". You can also draw stick people to represent the genders.
Unfold the paper again, then draw lines on all four of the creases. At the top, write "Choose a Role". Roles are dependent on who you are daring.
- For school, possible ideas could be "Student" or "Item". For home, ideas could be "Food" or "Drink" There should be a total of four roles.
Unfold the paper again and at the top, write "Choose an Action", which explains what they will do for the dare.
Draw a chart below the title, following creases or not.You should have around 8 - 12 different actions. Actions are action verbs. Some ideas are, "Touch", "Call" or "Sniff". They could be anything, but they have to make since, because you will be daring a person, so "Throw" would not be reasonable. You can also draw pictures accordingly.
Unfold the paper again.Your paper right now should seem to be one paper. Write "Chose an Emotion" which means they will have to make a face they chose while they are doing the dare. Now draw lines on the creases. You should come up with 16 boxes. Draw a different face or emotion in each box. Examples could be "Raged", "Satisfied", "Wink", or "Cross-eyed."
Unfold your paper. You should appear with both papers. Make a list of names or items and number them. Make sure to also include genders with roles. You should come up with eight different categories of names. Category names vary on what roles you have. A few examples are Male & Female Student, Person, or item.
Fold the paper back again. When someone plays, they chose by "tapping" the box that they want.
